ADHD Support Group Project in Stafford

Living with ADHD affects every part of life and can be very isolating. Our support group provides a space to share coping strategies and meet like-minded people. Join us to meet new friends, share information, discuss diagnosis, access services, and have fun!

Supported by the National Lottery Community Fund, we are running an eight-week trial. Participants will engage in discussions and access evidence-based resources and insights from those with lived experience. This trial aims to help participants build social support networks and reconnect with the wider community.

With limited awareness and understanding of ADHD, sustainable community groups like ours are vital in helping adults with ADHD reach their potential. Growing demand for adult ADHD services and ongoing medication shortages make new support solutions crucial. If successful, this model could be used in local social prescribing schemes, enhancing Universal Personalised Care.

What to Expect at the Meetings

Our groups are relaxed, social gatherings with people from diverse backgrounds. Upon arrival, an organiser will welcome you, and you can talk as much or as little as you like. We know attending for the first time can be daunting, so we aim to make you feel comfortable. Meetings are confidential, non-judgmental, and no issue is too delicate.

Attending a support group can provide a sense of solidarity and validation from those who truly understand.
